Call for papers: apprentice support mechanisms

The Journal of Vocational Research and Practice (JVRP) is delighted to announce our first Hackathon Special Issue

Title: Innovative support mechanisms in apprenticeships

This is your opportunity to share bold ideas, creative strategies, and lived experiences that have enhanced / could enhance apprentice retention, achievement, and wellbeing - especially those that are 'tacit' or under-researched practices not yet widely shared.

We welcome contributions from:

Apprentices (any level, any standard)
Educators, coaches, mentors, assessors
Employers and workplace mentors
EPAOs, AOs, Ofsted/Ofqual, careers advisors, and others in the ecosystem

Submission deadline: 30 September 2025

Formats: Account of Practice (1,000 - 2,500 words) or Poster Presentation with MP3 audio (10 mins)
